I just posted a BUNCH of new pics from the Hot Heads that we gave away (I have maybe 4 left) at the orphanage today. Oh My Goodness…you cannot imagine what JOY fills my heart and the hearts that helped distribute these hats today….

Please thank everyone whose fingers threaded these hats for these precious precious children’s souls. I cannot thank you enough this side of Heaven for helping me with the ministry the Lord has called me to here in Perm. I just can’t put it into words how much I love you and all of these children and the ladies that made those hats.
I will send more pics if I can of the ones I have left.

Well Hot•Heads, this is why we do what we  do.  UNBELIEVABLE.  I’m truly amazed.

We are already thinking about our first birthday!  Whoo-hoo!  We will have a huge blow-out the second week of August.  Details to come.

During this “off-time”  we want you to be creative.  Use your yarn scraps to make some great striped hats.  Remember, you don’t have to “match” these stripes.  Be unique.  Stripes go with everything!    Send us pics of your designs!

Also, try some of the new patterns that are on the website.  Search the web for loom patterns and see what you can discover.  We are interested in all the help we can get!  There are so many plans for Fall/Winter 2010.

We have been accepted to Handworks Market in November!  We have HUGE plans for giving hats, too!  We have a goal to give 3000 hats this winter.  We are going to need LOTS of hats!  So,  KNIT this Spring and Summer!   Please send us pics to onehothead@gmail.com or on our Facebook page!  It’s really inspiring to see what you are doing!

We had a super time at the Race for the Cure on Saturday!  Thanks to all of our knitters, we gave away 150 hand-knitted hats to breast cancer survivors.  These women are amazing.  Some had been in remission for 19 years, and some were just recently diagnosed and were getting ready to begin radiation and chemotherapy.  Their spirits are amazing and we pray God’s healing for them.

We also want to say a special thank you to Jessica Ragan and her group who allowed us to participate.  You girls worked so hard to put on this great event and it was a huge success!

Hey guys!  We know that there will be 200 Survivors at the Race for the Cure THIS Saturday, April 17th!  That’s awesome!  We would love to be able to give hats to all 200, but a slight problem is that we don’t have 200 hats.  We have 75.  Yep, 75.  So, if you can get us a few hats by Thursday (so we will have time to sew on the labels) that would be super.  Please drop hats off at Courtney’s house.  The basket is on the front porch.  If you can’t drop them off, please send us an email at onehothead@gmail.com and we will come and pick them up.  I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen!

Keep up the good work, guys!  We have gotten in some super hats for Cancer Survivors!  Please turn in what you have as soon as you get them completed.  We do still need more hats, so please keep knitting.  New tee shirts were ordered yesterday, so email us to reserve your size.  The race is April 17th….it’s getting CLOSE!  Knit on!
