Did ya see that I’m teaching loom knitting? Catching on like crazy already!! We are putting many in the Christmas shoeboxes thru the baptist missionary association of america…the ones we just took to El Salvador. This year, they are going to Georgia, the country. Your vision is definitely reaching your Jerusalem, judea, samaria and the uttermost parts of the earth! We are very excited to share in this with y’all!!

Gift Hats Needed

Just to keep you posted…..you have given hats to New Jerusalem and Gateway this week! We have given away ALL of our men’s gift hats!

What we have found that they like the most is dark colored hats. They like solids and stripes. If you have hats (of any kind), please turn them in asap!

We are trying to send more hats to We Will Go and New Jerusalem this week. New Jerusalem works with several apartment complexes in their area. His Hands, His Feet Ministry gave out 60 hats to children in those complexes on Saturday. Here are a couple of pics.

Thank you for choosing to give your time, money and efforts for those in need. I’m continually amazed.

P.S. Here is a pic from Erin Vowell…she works with a church in Forrest that gave over 200 hats to a community there. They are continuing to develop relationships with this community and minister to them. Awesome!

Hey everybody! Thanks so much for all of your hard work getting ready for Handworks Holiday Market! You made 550 hats to sell! WOW! Not to mention stockings and ornaments! Invite your friends to come and see us at the MS Trademart, Downtown Jackson on Friday from 9am to 7pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm.

You can also be the first to get our new long-sleeved tee shirts! They are incredibly fabulous with art drawn by Morgan Gray, a 10th grader at NWR. Thanks, Morgan!!!

sit ‘n knit Friday night

Hey everybody! You are all doing an awesome job with your hats! They are just getting better and better! Your creativity is pretty much out of control!

We have around 450 hats for Handworks and that is just 50 away from our goal! We’re super excited!

We will be having a sit ‘n knit at Jenny Anne and Chris Moore’s house (316 Cypress Creek Road in Castlewoods) on Friday night, November 12 from 7pm to 9pm. Bring your knitting project you are working on and come hang out and knit. If you have any hats, you may turn them in there.

We look forward to seeing you! Thanks so much for all you do!

No Sit ‘n Knit Thursday

Hey everybody! Hope this finds you doing great! We have packed up 300 hats for Handworks! That’s AWESOME….now, we just need at least 2oo more! You can do it! Keep knitting! We are also planning to send hats to Russia ASAP.

We will not have a sit ‘n knit on Thursday, November 4.

Door Prizes at Thursday’s Party

We want everyone to come and bring a friend to Jan’s Thursday night to the sit ‘n knit! We are going to have some doorprizes! Whoo-hoo! We have a gift certificate for a haircut from Luxe Salon by Roxanne (most of us know how coveted this is!), a Blu Gertrude headband, a Hot•Heads bag and several skeins of yarn!

We are going to make smores and hang out, visit and knit! Come from 7pm to 9pm and bring a friend!

We hope to see you at Jan’s!

Directions to Jans: Get on Rice Road (Cock of the Walk) and follow to the Stop sign at Post Road. Turn Right onto Post Road. Follow until you get to Overlook Pointe. Turn Right into the subdivision, and then take the first Right on to Overlook Point Circle. Jan’s house is the fourth house on the left.

You guys are doing a fantastic job with all of the hats you’ve been knitting…THANK YOU! We have multiple opportunities to provide gift hats between now and Christmas, so keep up the pace – so far we’re looking at 1500 hats requested ! Our goal for Handworks is 600!
